During the visit, the delegation of St.Petersburg took part in the ceremony of laying the flowers at the memorial complex «Eternal Flame», opening the permanent exhibition of the Karelian State Local-Lore Museum, and visiting the exhibition «Economics of the Republic of Karelia Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow» and international exhibition «Karelia Tourism-2010». The events were embellished by the performance of prominent national troupe «Kantele».
At the official reception devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia, EI Elin, Head of St. Petersburg delegation, read and handed the congratulations of V.I. Matvienko, Governor of St.Petersburg, to S.L. Katanandov, Head of the Republic of Karelia.
