    St. Petersburg and Great Britain are developing contacts in the field of sustainable development

    April 30, 2019, representatives of organizations and institutions, the Administration of St. Petersburg and the Department of International Trade of Great Britain in Russia, discussed the experience of sustainable urban development at St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

    Elena Gorbashko, Vice-Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics, presented the experience of St. Petersburg State University of Economics in the field of sustainable development.

    Trevor Lewis, Director of the UK's Department of International Trade in Russia, shared his British experience in urban planning, transport infrastructure and urban redevelopment.

    Representatives of British companies: Arup, Honeywell Building Solutions, Tensar, United Concrete Canvas Russia, Lonmadi talked about technologies for introducing innovations in the field of construction, building maintenance, development of transport infrastructure, production of road-building and load-lifting equipment.

    The meeting at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics was organized with the assistance of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg in continuation of a constructive exchange of views on topical issues of urban development, held in the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry in December 2018.
