    Today, April 29, in the framework of the II open scientific-practical conference “St. Petersburg Culinary School. Traditions and Innovation "the presentation of the project "St. Petersburg Cuisine"

    The organizer is St. Petersburg College of Culinary Arts, together with the St. Petersburg Culinary Association in preparation for the 39th World Chefs Congress & EXPO Chefs Congress in St. Petersburg in 2020.

    The purpose of the conference is to create conditions for promoting the experience of the St. Petersburg Culinary School, presenting the achievements of competent, creative, intellectually developed professionals in the culinary field, as well as mastering and disseminating new technologies for preparing catering, hospitality and restaurant business specialists.

    At the plenary session of the conference, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, Sergey Markov, presented the project "St. Petersburg Cuisine", telling the participants and guests about the stages of its development, the main features of the phenomenon of regional Petersburg cuisine, and the work of the Committee on the Promotion of the Gastronomic Brand St. St. Petersburg.

    In his speech, Sergey Markov addressed the heads of vocational education institutions - the conference participants with a proposal to join the project and introduce into the programs a special profile course dedicated to regional St. Petersburg cuisine.

    Also, presentations were made by the Chairman of the Board of the St. Petersburg Culinary Association Viktor Shabalin, the Head of the Personnel Service of Sever-Metropol LLC Olga Krasnov, the winner of the All-Russian Open Culinary Championship “Chef a la Russe 2019” Yuliya Dotsenko.

    The conference was conducted in the following sections: "Petersburg Culinary School: Modern Reading of Traditions", "Presentation of the pedagogical technology" How to ignite a lesson", "Actual conversation of employers with college graduates", master-class" Compliment from chefs of restaurants and cooks of St. Petersburg associations of culinary specialists, teachers, students".

    For reference: the Petersburg Kitchen project, launched in 2014, is aimed at reviving the culinary traditions of St. Petersburg and promoting our city not only as a cultural, but also as a gastronomic capital of Russia.
