    The foreign relations Committee held talks with the representative of the Indonesian Embassy in Russia

    During the visit to St. Petersburg Of the adviser-envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation EDI Suharto to participate in the XIII St. Petersburg partnership of small and medium business "St. Petersburg-regions of Russia and abroad" and the IX international conference "Eurasian arc of instability and the current situation on its East Asian flank" was held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Kalganov.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including the expansion of economic cooperation between our city and one of the most dynamic Asian countries, the prospects for the signing of an agreement between Saint-Petersburg and the city of Yogyakarta, as well as the upcoming visit of the mayor of Surabaya, tri Ramacharan, which will be held at the end of March 2019.

    Mr. Suharto noted the important role of St. Petersburg in the development of bilateral relations, as well as its high role as a Convention and exhibition and tourist center, stressing that its popularity among Indonesian tourists is growing from year to year.

    The parties agreed to continue bilateral work to strengthen mutual trade and investment ties in the light of the growing attractiveness of markets for the business circles of the two countries.
