    January 27, 2019 in Toronto and Montreal (Canada) a memorial evening " Blockade: 75th anniversary of complete liberation-saving the city-Museum!» was held.

    Veterans of the great Patriotic war and residents of the besieged Leningrad took part in the events dedicated to the anniversary of the Leningrad victory. Among the officials was attended by the President and Vice-President of the "Canadian Association of veterans of the Second world war from the Soviet Union" Vyacheslav Volkov and Boris Gurevich, Consul General of Russia in Toronto Kirill Mikhailov. Participants of the evening was also a group of re-enactors of the great Patriotic war in Canada, "191st Rifle division" (S. Eremeev and A. Derkacha).

    During the evening, the participants were presented photo exhibition S. Sergeeva " We won!"and the exhibition of the artist S. Zimnitskiy "Blockade diary". There was a greeting from the great-granddaughter of the Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Panfilov, Daria, who lives in Toronto. The demonstration of the tank KV1, raised from the water near the fighting on the Nevsky Patch (from the General Director of "Baltspetsflot" by Andrew Spiegel).

    Students of the North-Western Institute of management Ranepa under the President of the Russian Federation with the participation of B. Kiselev and O. Shubin prepared a special poetic program.

    There was a teleconference with St. Petersburg and a virtual tour from the Museum "Breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad" of Leningrad region (organized by B. H. Kiselev, Ranepa under the President of the Russian Federation, D. V. Pylev, V.V. Ivanova, Museum "Breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad") and a teleconference with Tbilisi (Georgia).

    The participants of the meeting presented a report on the preservation of architectural monuments during the siege of Leningrad "Saved culture".

    During the evening poems were recited, songs of the great Patriotic war were performed.

    With memories of the war were themselves veterans of the defense of Leningrad and residents of the besieged city.

    On the evening of January 27, the baton of memory was taken by Montreal, where the "evening of memory" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade and the memory of the victims of the Holocaust was also held. The participants of the meeting were veterans of the Second world war, representatives of the Deputy and diplomatic corps, public organizations, students of Russian schools and creative teams. Hall watched footage of the military chronicle, sounded words of sorrow and gratitude.
