    On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the full liberation of Leningrad, a public viewing of the documentary "Ladoga"

    January 25, 2019 on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade in the concert hall "Assembly" sue "Vodokanal of St. Petersburg" held a public viewing of the documentary "Ladoga", filmed in 1942.

    The only copy of the film was discovered by the efforts of the Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Andrei Anokhin, experts of the Information and analytical center (IAC) "Remember all by name" in the Krasnogorsk archive of film and photo documents.

    Before the show, the audience was addressed by the representative of the IAC Alexander Nesmeyanov, who told about the history of the film, the reasons why it has long been lying on the shelves of film depositories, as well as the path that led researchers to the re-acquisition of the tape.

    More than 200 people came to see one of the few films shot by Leningrad documentary filmmakers about the heroic struggle of the defenders of the besieged Leningrad and the organization of the transport artery on the water and ice of lake Ladoga, among them there were blockades, schoolchildren, and just concerned citizens.

    In addition, at the invitation of the Committee for external relations, the show was visited by representatives and leadership of the Vietnamese Diaspora in our city, who are actively interested in the history of St. Petersburg and especially the heroic pages of defense during the great Patriotic war.
