In total, the blockade compatriots from 19 countries of the world will take part in the events. The delegation consisted of the residents of besieged Leningrad, two participants of defense of Leningrad (now live in Bulgaria and USA) and accompanying them. A total of 90 people. 120 blockades from 42 Russian regions will also join the events held in St. Petersburg.

In addition, at the invitation of the Government of St. Petersburg to honor the memory of the fallen heroes and pay tribute to the generation of winners will come representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries, including countries that were part of the USSR and members of the anti-Hitler coalition, as well as representatives of foreign cities and regions-partners of St. Petersburg and Russian regions, which were evacuated Leningrad and Leningrad enterprises.

Confirmation of participation of delegations from 13 Russian regions was received: Bryansk, Kaluga, Orel, Pskov, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Vologda and Ulyanovsk regions, the Altai territory, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district, Moscow and Sevastopol. Three of them will be headed by Governors personally. Thus, the Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, the Governor of the Orel region Andrey Klychkov and the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrey Travnikov will come to St. Petersburg.

Foreign partner cities will be represented by delegations from Hamburg, Dresden, Nice, Czech Republic, Antwerp and Yerevan.

22 delegations (representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Bulgaria, Brazil, Israel, Croatia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, great Britain, Denmark, Cuba, Nicaragua, South Africa, and Germany, etc.) will take part in the events from diplomatic missions of foreign States accredited in Moscow.

Representatives of 39 consular institutions accredited in St. Petersburg and representatives of the inter-parliamentary Assembly of the SIS countries also confirmed their participation.

Compatriots living abroad, foreign and Russian delegations from the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg will be awarded commemorative badges depicting the "blockade swallow", symbolizing the fortitude of Leningrad.

Reference:  the icon with the "Blockade swallow" is a reminder of small tin icons with the image of a swallow with a letter in its beak, which were worn on the chest of Leningrad. This symbol was then a short and clear response to the statements of fascist propaganda that the city can not fly even a bird. In 1945 Olga Bergholz dedicated poems to the" blockade swallow".
