On January 25, 2019, as a part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade, the cultural and leisure center "Krasnogvardeysky" hosted a Skype bridge "Echo of the Blockade", which connected veterans, representatives of public and volunteer organizations, schoolchildren and students from Sevastopol, Perm, Orsha (Belarus) and St. Petersburg in the mode of direct video communication.

From St. Petersburg the meeting was attended by: Chairman of the district Council of veterans Stepanov A. O., Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Ivchenko B. P., Deputy Chairman of the Committee for external relations Kalganov V. G., head of the Krasnogvardeysky district Razumishkin E. N., Hero of Socialist Labor Zakharova T.M., as well as residents of the siege of Leningrad: now the doctor of historical Sciences Kuzinets I. M., Professor and captain of the I rank retired Andreev A. P. the Younger generation-students of Marine technical and Fire-rescue colleges-asked questions to veterans and guests, and also shared their feelings about what they felt when they first learned from their relatives the true stories about the blockade.

Such meetings are especially valuable because the younger generation has the opportunity to learn the true facts of history in dealing with eyewitnesses of the events, who experienced all the difficulties of war and life in the besieged Leningrad.

All participants of the Skype bridge agreed to continue communication not only with the help of modern means of communication, but also live, coming to visit their Leningrad friends. As all who took part in the video bridge agreed on the main idea, not to allow the repetition of those terrible events and not to forget those days, forever left a mark in the hearts of not only Leningrad but also all who helped the city to overcome the blockade.
