During the visit, Information and Business Center of St. Petersburg in Shanghai was launched.
The opening ceremony was attended by Consul General of Russia in Shanghai Aleksey Evsikov and Head of European and African Affairs Division Foreign Affairs Office Shanghai Ms. Li Fanxia.
Following the ceremony, a round table discussion “St. Petersburg and Shanghai – 30 tears of partnership: new vistas of cooperation” was organized at the Information and Business Center to present economic and industrial potential of St. Petersburg. The round table brought together representatives of St. Petersburg and Shanghai companies operating in the field of information technology, light industry and consultancy.
During the visit, the St. Petersburg also participated in the First China Import Expo.
Representatives of Northern Capital Gateway Consortium held negotiations with China Eastern Airlines to increase frequency of flights St. Petersburg – Shanghai in summer and spring season (reference: currently the route is served by up to 3 flights weekly).
The authorities of Secondary School No. 547 and Lyceum No. 369 of Krasnoselsky District of St. Petersburg had negotiations with the representatives of foreign languages schools Jiading Vayuy Xuexiao (one of the central Shanghai educational institutions that conducts research in foreign languages study and Hualing Xuexiao with the aim of possible concluding a cooperation agreement.
