    From January 27 to 2 February 2016, St Petersburg hosted the traditional Days of Scotland

    The program is organized by the St. Petersburg Association for International Cooperation, St. Petersburg forum (Paisley City), Russian National Library, with the support of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg, as well as cultural and educational institutions of St. Petersburg.

    The events were attended by the Scottish delegation, which included representatives of the St. Petersburg forum, Robert Burns World Federation, cultural and educational institutions of Scotland.

    In the framework of Days of Scotland, Russian National Library (Moskovsky pr., 165) hosted book and illustrations exhibition "Famous Scots: from William Wallace to Sean Connery" (the exhibition will be open until 28 February 2016). There were artistic and literary competitions, the contest "Do you know Scotland?" among the schoolchildren of St. Petersburg, as well as the gala night dedicated to Robert Burns.

    During the meeting in St. Petersburg Association for International Cooperation, the results of joint projects were announced and the prospects for the future were outlined.

    The delegation took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Anglo-Russian hospital, in Belosselsky Belozersky Palace, and also visited a number of cultural and educational institutions as well as the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg.
