    On 7 - 8 September, there was Partner Search Forum in the framework of Cross Border Cooperation (CBC) Program Russia-Estonia 2014-2020 in Saint-Petersburg Center for Import substitution and localization.

    The Forum focuses on the discussion of the following priorities:- business and SME development;- environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation;- support to local and regional good governance.

    The event was organized with the financial support of the Administration of St. Petersburg.

    The Forum was attended by over 130 representatives of national, regional and local authorities, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and businesses from St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Pskov regions. Estonia was represented by Kirde-Eesti, Lõuna-Eesti and Kesk-Eesti regions.

    From the Estonian side, the Forum opening was attended by representatives of the Management Authority of CBC Program Russia-Estonia A.Vukkert and the member of the board of Enterprise Estonia, Silla Talvet-Unt, St. Petersburg was represented by a member of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg. From methodical point of view the work of the Forum was supplied by TESIM project experts (Technical support to the implementation and management of CBC Programs 2014-2020) Karine Leroy and Edmunds Snikeris.

    The Forum provided a platform for participants to find partners for taking part in future projects, as well as an opportunity to get more information about the CBC Program Russia-Estonia 2014-2020 and its potential opportunities and rules. There was a two-day training designed to facilitate the joint development of project ideas and effective preparation of project proposals.

    The Forum focuses on the discussion of the following priorities:
    - business and SME development;
    - environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation;
    - support to local and regional good governance.

    The strategic objectives of CBC program Russia-Estonia are: 
    A. Promote the social and economic development of the regions on the both sides of common borders;
    B. Address common challenges in environment, public health, safety and security;
    C. Promotion of better conditions and modalities for ensuring the mobility of persons, goods and capital.

    The Program area includes the following regions: Kirde-Eesti, Lõuna-Eesti and Kesk-Eesti in Estonia and St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Pskov regions in Russia. The program requirements for the implementation of the joint project is the participation of at least one partner from Estonia and one partner from the Russian Federation in it.
