    On October 21, the Forum “Finnish Business in St. Petersburg” was held in St. Petersburg.

    The event attracted approximately 480 specialists from 90 Finnish and 200 Russian companies.

    The Forum was opened with a greeting from the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg S.N. Movchan who described the current state of economic cooperation between St. Petersburg and the Republic of Finland.

    The Forum also featured reports and presentations by the Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations Matti Anttonen, the President and CEO of “Tikkurila Group” Erkki Järvinen, the Vice President of JSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” Evgeny Nikolayevich Zagorodny, the CEO of “Pemamek Oy Ltd” Pekka Heikonen, and the President and CEO of “YIT Corporation” Kari Kauniskangas.

    This year the discussion at the Forum focused around construction, industry and logistics, information technologies, investments, business services and tourism. The participants dwelled upon the relevant topics directly related to the Finnish-Russian business cooperation and various issues pertaining to the mutual trade between Finland and Russia.
