    A Meeting of Heads of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Sector Committees of St. Petersburg Held in Smolny

    On October 2, 2015, a working meeting of the first Vice Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg I.O. Lonsky with a delegation from the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place in Smolny.

    The Hungarian party featured the President of the Trade Committee at the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry Angéla Szatmári Jáhl, the Chairman of the Municipal Administration Department at the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry Viktor Erdődy, the Consul General of Hungary in St. Petersburg Ferenc Nagy-Rébék, representatives of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Consulate General of Hungary in St. Petersburg.

    The St. Petersburg party included responsible specialists of the Committee for Natural Resource, Environment Protection and Ecological Safety of St. Petersburg, the Energy Committee, the Committee for City Property Management, the Committee for Construction, SUE “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg”, and St. Petersburg State-Funded Institution “Center for Business Development and Support”.

    The parties exchanged opinion on the key areas of cooperation between St. Petersburg and Budapest.

    Special emphasis was laid on cooperation in the areas of hazardous waste collection, wastewater cleansing and water disposal, renovation of panel buildings, support of small and medium-sized businesses and the exchange of business missions between St. Petersburg and Budapest.

    Representatives of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry were invited to attend X St. Petersburg Partneriat for Small and Medium Enterprises (March 2016), St. Petersburg Innovation Forum (October 2016) and specialized exhibitions on power industry held at the St. Petersburg Congress and Exhibition Centre “EXPOFORUM”.
