    A Delegation from the Province of Cebu (Republic of the Philippines) Paid an Official Visit to St. Petersburg on September 27 – October 1

    The delegation was headed by the Governor of the Province of Cebu H. P. Davide III. 

    On September 29, a meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with the Governor of the Province of Cebu H. P. Davide III took place in Smolny at 13.00. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation and the exchange of experience in the following areas: pharmaceutical industry, production of medical equipment, shipbuilding and mechanical engineering, tourism, sport and education. Georgy Poltavchenko invited the guests to attend IV International Cultural Forum which is to open in St. Petersburg on December 14, 2015.

    Furthermore a meeting with representatives of SUE “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg” was organized as part of the program; the discussion was devoted to wastewater cleansing technologies along with issues related to water disposal and water supply of the city.

    The business program of H. P. Davide III included trips to the special economic zone “Neudorf” of the “Marino” Industrial Park and Port of Bronka.

    The cultural program of the visit consisted of tours to St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Spilled Blood, the State Hermitage, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the “Tsarskoye Selo” State Museum-Preserve.
