On October 22, 2009, Faiti Salvadori, Consul General of Italy in St.Petersburg, met with A.V.Prokhorenko, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, at Smolny.
A.V. Prokhorenko congratulated F. Salvadori on taking the office and mentioned the traditionally high level of cooperation between St.Petersburg and Italy, both in economic and humanitarian areas.
F. Salvadori made a point of the fact that over the past year, such indicator of the interaction activity as the issuance of visas by the Italian consulate dropped noticeably. In this regard, the Consul-General considers the maximum facilitation of getting the visa as one of his main tasks, which is especially true about the visas for the members of tourist, business, and cultural exchanges.
Moreover, given the mutual interest and the improving economic situation, the consulate will help attract Italian investments in St.Petersburg.
