    An Anniversary of German-Russian Society in Hamburg

    On October 21, 2009, the solemn events took place in Hamburg, devoted to the 35th anniversary of German-Russian Society.

    At an official ceremony in the Senate of Hamburg, the written congratulations signed by A.V.Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, were conveyed to Jürgen Hufeland, Head of the Society. The ceremony was attended by S.P. Ganzha, Consul General of Russia in Hamburg; D.Yu. Uchitel, Director of Information and Business Center of St.Petersburg in Hamburg, and K. Lüdemann, State Advisor on International Affairs in Hamburg.

    The year 2009 also marks 15 years of Petersburg society "Hamburg Club" – the partner of German-Russian Society in Hamburg. As part of celebrations in Hamburg, the Consulate of Russia hosted a party, a concert of St.Petersburg musicians was performed in the church of St.Catherine; and the guests from St.Petersburg met with their German friends.
