On February 18, 2010, a Russo-Danish "round table" on cooperation in the area of health care and development of pharmaceutical clusters was run at Smolny.
The Danish delegation was headed by Mr. Stig Jorgensen, Director General of "Medicon Vallay Alliance» (biomedical cluster) and Mr. Jens Christian Getrik, President of the Danish association of medical equipment manufacturers «Mediconindustrien». The delegation included the representatives of major pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment manufacturers in Denmark.
Russian party introduced the concept of cluster development for the pharmaceutical industry of St.Petersburg, and the potential for foreign manufacturers in its development.
The organizers of the roundtable were St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, the Committee for Health Care, Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Denmark in St.Petersburg.
