    Partneriate “Saint-Petersburg – Regions of Russia. Interaction and Cooperation Directions” Held in St. Petersburg

    At the exhibition complex “Lenexpo” in St. Petersburg, the Partneriate “Saint-Petersburg – Regions of Russia. Interaction and Cooperation Directions” was held on March 10 through 12, 2009. The Partneriate worked as an interregional anti-recession ground for trade and industry, with a wide range of participation forms.

    This project was implemented to address the urgent problems of the greatest number of participants - representatives of small- and medium-scale enterprises of St.Petersburg and Russian regions, whose potential has not yet been used to develop the industrial sector in the economy of the Russian Federation. Establishing the direct business connections between the regions, the development of subcontracting with large industrial enterprises, employment of advanced production technologies such are the means to achieve competitiveness of products manufactured.

    The Partneriate events were attended by over 1,500 people from 58 regions of Russian Federation. The regional exhibition “St.Petersburg – Regions of Russia” presented 26 companies via 12 collective regional displays.

    As a part of business contacts exchange, 850 meetings were held, and 22 large industrial companies carried on the negotiations with the would-be partners.

    Among the regional participants, the greatest activity was shown by the Yaroslavl Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Government of the Vologda Region, the Representation of Republic Bashkortostan, the Representation of KhMAA – Yugry, “Tikhvin Machine-Building Factory” Co.Ltd from Leningrad Region, machine-building enterprise of the JSC “Petrozavodskmash” from Petrozavodsk; JSC Company “VATI-AVTO”.
