During applications selection, the Committee adhered to the following criteria:
- The frequency of events in the country dedicated to the celebration of Pancake Week;
- the existence of a partnership agreement with St. Petersburg;
- the relevance of the event and the support of its official authorities;
- the terms of participation of the St. Petersburg team in the event provided free of charge or on a preferential basis.
In accordance with the stated criteria, the proposal of the Association of Youth of Russian Compatriots in the Republic of Croatia was approved.
The performance, specially prepared for the Maslenitsa festival, and the interactive program of St. Petersburg artists with spectators will be presented by the folklore group of St. Petersburg in the city of Zagreb.
The Committee on External Relations of St. Petersburg thanks the responding compatriots! All submitted applications were really worthy!

Based on the results of the consideration of applications from organizations of Russian compatriots abroad for the implementation of the project “We celebrate Shrovetide with St. Petersburg” in 2020, it was decided to hold events in Zagreb (Croatia)
