The guests, more than 300 people gathered, could enjoy music, dancing, dishes of traditional Turkmen cuisine prepared by the cooks who came from Turkmenistan for this purpose, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere immanent for such mass meetings of the compatriots. The sports games and competitions awaited the especially pro-active people, and the winners were awarded prizes and diplomas.
Annasoltan Atdaeva, starring the Turkmen stage as violinist, pleased the guests with her masterly skill.
Among the honored guests of the festival, there were representatives of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, St.Petersburg «House of Nationalities», high-education institutions of St.Petersburg, several ethnic and cultural associations.
Many kind words were said addressed to the Society of Turkmen Culture in St.Petersburg that permanently carried out the work to preserve and maintain the traditions and culture of Turkmenistan in the Northern capital of Russia.
