    The Council of Greek Governorates Visited St.Petersburg

    On May 18 through 21, 2010, a delegation of the Council of Greek Governorates of Geece had its sojourn in St.Petersburg. Tthe delegation included the heads of urban municipalities of Messinia county (Kalamata, Messinia, Furias, Skyros Island), Metropolitan of Messinia, rector of Technical University of Messina, president of the Agro-Industrial Union of Messinia, the representative of the Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Greek Council of Journalists in Greece, et al.

    On May 18 through 21, 2010, a delegation of the Council of Greek Governorates of Geece had its sojourn in St.Petersburg. Tthe delegation included the heads of urban municipalities of Messinia county (Kalamata, Messinia, Furias, Skyros Island), Metropolitan of Messinia, rector of Technical University of Messina, president of the Agro-Industrial Union of Messinia, the representative of the Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Greek Council of Journalists in Greece, et al.

    On May 19, the delegation met in Smolny with A.I. Vakhmistrov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg. Discussed were the prospects for cooperation in tourism, education, and recreation of children from St.Petersburg in Greece, the development of economic relations and promotion of Greek and Russian producers.

    During its sojourn in St.Petersburg, the delegation met with the V.I. Katenev, President of St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, K.K. Khudoley, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at St.Petersburg State University, Vladimir (Kotlyarov), Metropolitan over St.Petersburg and Ladoga, V.K. Borisov, Head of the Administration of Kurortny District of St.Petersburg.

    To promote Greek food (olive oil, cheese, dried fruit, wine) at the food market of St.Petersburg, Administration of Primorskiy District of St.Petersburg with the retail network “O’Key” offered to organize an exhibition and fair of Greek producers in the premises of hypermarket chain “O’Key”.
