    Days of St.Petersburg in Bordeaux

    On May 6, 2010, a meeting of M. Oseevsky, Vice-Governor, Head of St.Petersburg delegation, and A. Juppe, Mayor of Bordeaux, formerly Prime Minister of France, opened an official program of the Days of St.Petersburg in the French twin city. After the meeting, M. Oseevsky and A. Juppe held a joint press conference.

    On May 6, 2010, a meeting of M. Oseevsky, Vice-Governor, Head of St.Petersburg delegation, and A. Juppe, Mayor of Bordeaux, formerly Prime Minister of France, opened an official program of the Days of St.Petersburg in the French twin city. After the meeting, M. Oseevsky and A. Juppe held a joint press conference.

    This year, the Days are confined to the participation of St.Petersburg in the program "Year of Russia in France, Year of France in Russia" 2010.

    One of the main events of the Days will be the participation of St.Petersburg as a guest of honor at the International Fair in Bordeaux (May 8 through 17). The city will present to the attention of the Fair visitors a special exhibition in the Russian pavilion. Among the participants: All-Russia Museum of A.S. Pushkin, State Museum-Reserve "Tsarskoe Selo", the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, Puppet Theatre named after E.S. Demmeni, Confectionery Factory named after N.K. Krupskaya, and Faculty of International Relations at St.Petersburg State University.

    Highlights of the cultural program of the Days of St.Petersburg in Bordeaux:
    • Exhibition of photographs, collages, and paintings by leading contemporary architects and interior designers "Our Petersburg" (May 1 through 9)
    • Festival "Evenings of Russian Cinema in Bordeaux: St.Petersburg Encounters of 2010" (May 6 through 11)
    • Concert program "White Night in Bordeaux" with the ensemble Terem Quartet, A. Shilova, soloist of Mariinsky Theatre, and children's collective "Terem'OK".
