May 16, 2019 in Smolny, a meeting was held between the member of the Government of St. Petersburg - the representative of the Governor of St. Petersburg in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Shesterikov Yu.B. with the delegation of the regions of Japan (Hokkaido Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, Sakata, Osaka).
A visit to St. Petersburg by representatives of the regional authorities of the Land of the Rising Sun is timed to the Japan-Russia Regional Festival held from May 14 to 18. The event ends the cross-year Russia-Japan in our city.
During the meeting, the festival program was presented. In addition, the parties discussed the results of joint work: at present, cooperation between St. Petersburg and partners in Japan is actively developing in the field of start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism, culture, school exchanges and urban infrastructure.
Background of the festival: From May 14 to 18, the “Japan-Russia Regional Festival” was held in St. Petersburg, organized by the Consulate General of Japan in St. Petersburg.
