    The common historical and cultural heritage helps to strengthen the cooperation of Russian regions, including at the level of districts and municipalities

    Thus, the memory of the outstanding Russian poet and statesman Gabriel Derzhavin United St. Petersburg and Orenburg region.

    On the territory of Admiralty district of St. Petersburg (address: Fontanka river embankment, 118) is a Museum-estate of G. R. Derzhavin, in which he lived from 1791 to 1816.

    And on the territory of Buzuluk district of Orenburg region, on the river Kutuluk 60 km from Buzuluk, was the family estate Derzhavin. The village of derzhavino was founded in the mid-eighteenth century, the mother of the poet Thekla Andreevna on land granted to her husband, Lieutenant-Colonel Roman Nikolaevich Derzhavin, for service in Orenburg.

    With the aim of developing cultural ties and promote the historical heritage on March 29 in St. Petersburg hosted the meeting of the head of administration of the Admiralty district Svetlana Stukova and head of the municipal administration of Buzuluksky area of the Orenburg region Nikolay Pantuckova.

    The parties discussed prospects of cooperation. The presentation of the economic and cultural potential of the regions. Following the meeting, a Protocol of intent and mutual cooperation was signed.

    Reference: In addition to the picturesque surroundings, the main attraction of the village Derzhavino is the Temple of the Smolensk icon of the mother Of God.

    The Church was originally wooden. It was built by the poet's mother Fekla Andreevna Derzhavina after the death of her husband. After the decay of the wooden temple, Gavriil Derzhavin sought in 1784 at the Kazan Bishop's blessing on the construction of the stone. Construction began in the summer of the same year in the center of the village on the steep Bank of the river Kutuluk and lasted 12 years.

    October 20, 1796 the Church was consecrated in the name of the Smolensk image of the virgin. Two side thrones were consecrated in honor of the Vic. Catherine (right) and in the name of the icon of the mother Of God "Sign".

    Since the XIX century, the temple in Derzhavino village was recognized as a special attraction of Orenburg, and since 1851 – Samara provinces. The temple in Derzhavino village, on set of the characteristics, despite damages and loss of iconostases, is the outstanding monument of history and culture of the all-Russian value, the oldest on age temple of the Orenburg region.
