On March 20, in the Museum of the Russian-Japanese War in St. Petersburg the ceremonial transfer of the military grave registration card "The Common Grave of the armored cruiser Admiral Nakhimov crew" who died in the battle during May 14-15, 1905, near Tsushima Island as part of the 2nd Armored Detachment 2nd Pacific Squadron to the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg took place.

The draft of the registration card was prepared by the Regional Public Organization Information and Analytical Center (IAC) "We remember everyone by name" as part of the work on the certification of Russian (Soviet) military burial places abroad.

This draft will be sent to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Japan for final registration and state recording.

Reference: With the beginning of the Russian-Japanese war, "Admiral Nakhimov" under the command of Captain 1st Rank A. Rodionov joined the 2nd Armored Detachment of the 2nd Pacific Squadron.

On May 14, 1905, in the Tsushima battle, the cruiser received about 20 shells hit, and at night at 21:30-22:00 torpedoed into the starboard from the bow. On the morning of May 15, the semi-submerged ship continued its heroic movement astern (due to a bow hole and as a result of strong trim) and was finally submerged by the crew only when Japanese ships appeared. The bodies of 46 sailors killed in battle were on board of the sunken cruiser.
