The Information business center of St. Petersburg in Beijing and JSC "St. Petersburg Agency of medical tourism"agreed on the joint promotion of this direction. The agreements reached are enshrined in the relevant Memorandum of understanding, which was signed with the participation of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg in Smolny on March 5.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the development of medical tourism, including the exchange of experience in the management of medical tourism. In particular, the following activities are planned:
- provision of methodological, informational and Advisory support to attract medical tourists;
- the mutual promotion of medical tourism with the use of media resources of JSC "St. Petersburg Agency for medical tourism" and Information downtown St. Petersburg to Beijing;-
organization of mutual study visits for representatives of medical tourism from St. Petersburg in administrative-territorial formations of people's Republic of China, and of the administrative-territorial formations of the Chinese national Republic in St.-Petersburg;
- joint participation in relevant business events, congresses and exhibitions which will be held in Saint-Petersburg and in the administrative-territorial formations of people's Republic of China
;- assistance in presentations of tourist programs in St. Petersburg for representatives of tourism industry of the administrative-territorial formations of people's Republic of China, as well as tourism programs administrative-territorial formations of people's Republic of China for representatives of tourist industry of St. Petersburg.
The first joint event in the framework of the signed Memorandum will be the joint part of the Information business center of Saint-Petersburg in Beijing and JSC "Saint-Petersburg Agency of medical tourism", as well as representatives of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Shanghai in the specialized exhibition "China International Medical Tourism Expo 2019", which will take place on 18-20 April in Shanghai.
