    January 30 at the Embassy of Vietnam in Moscow hosted a gala evening on the occasion of the Vietnamese New year-the holiday Tet (full name Tet Nguyen Dan)

    In view of the great contribution of St. Petersburg to the development of bilateral Vietnamese-Russian relations, a representative of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg was also invited to take part in the event.

    Nikolay Nozdrev, Director of the third Asian Department of the Russian foreign Ministry, attended and delivered a welcoming speech at the gala evening from the Russian Ministry of foreign Affairs. He congratulated the people of Vietnam on the lunar new year, wished them well-being and prosperity, and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in all spheres.

    On behalf of the Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation, comrade NGO Duc Manu, was given a congratulatory letter and a memorable gift with views of St. Petersburg.

    The Vietnamese side, in turn, thanked the leadership of St. Petersburg for active cooperation. A large number of successful joint activities and projects were noted.
