    Representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, including countries that were part of the USSR, members of the anti-Hitler coalition and Germany left congratulations and wishes to St. Petersburg on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade

    In total, delegations from 13 Russian regions (3 of which were personally headed by Governors) took part in the events on the occasion of the anniversary of the Leningrad victory: The Governor of Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrey Travnikov, Orel oblast Governor Andrey Klychkov), 19 diplomatic missions in foreign countries (18 member countries of anti-Hitler coalition and were part of the Soviet Union and Germany), representatives of 6 foreign regions and cities-partners of St. Petersburg (the Czech Republic, nice, Antwerp, Yerevan, Hamburg, and Dresden), and 40 consular offices accredited in Saint-Petersburg, inter-parliamentary Assembly of CIS countries.

    Representatives of official Russian and foreign delegations together with all St. Petersburg residents took part in the solemn funeral ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Piskarevsky memorial cemetery, as well as got acquainted with the exposition of the exhibition space "Lenrezerv", visited the diorama Museum "Breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad" and the multimedia project "salute over Leningrad" at the Palace square.

    Also, with the participation of delegates, a Protocol event was held, during which diplomats left their congratulations and wishes to St. Petersburg.

    - "Today I witnessed that the eternal memory of the residents and defenders of the besieged Leningrad is preserved by the current generation of Russians forever "(Dag Mulmer Halvorsen, Consul General of Norway in St. Petersburg)

    "Today is a sad date, and today is a joyful date. The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan arrived in St. Petersburg to share with you this pain and this joy. We wish you a peaceful sky over your head.
