Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Markov, Acting Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Sergey Markov, Chairman of the Health Committee Mikhail Dubina, Chairman of Press and Media Relations Committee Sergey Serezleev, Chair of the Committee for Education Zhanna Vorobieva, Chair of Committee for Youth Policy and Social Organizations Interaction Renata Abdulina and Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg Vladimir Zapevalov took part in the meeting.
At the meeting issues related to strengthening cooperation between St. Petersburg and the ATU of Gagauzia were discussed.
Bashkan of the ATU of Gagauzia I.F. Vlah thanked the Governor of St. Petersburg G.S. Poltavchenko for the active humanitarian assistance to Gagauzia, and in particular, for the supplies of books in Russian for educational institutions.
G.S. Poltavchenko reported on continued development of contacts including the areas of economy and trade. Thus, St. Petersburg trade networks started selling wine production from Gagauzia. It was also noted that it is necessary to expand cooperation between St. Petersburg and ATU of Gagauzia in the area of healthcare, education and the support of talented young people.
During the meeting, I.F. Vlah gave G.S. Poltavchenko invitation to attend Invest Gagauzia International Forum that is scheduled to be held in Comrat on 03 November 2018.
In the course of the conversation, the Parties also discussed the culture and business mission of St. Petersburg to the Republic of Moldova that took place on 21-23 September 2018 under the guidance of the Chairman of Press and Media Relations Committee S.G. Serezleev
