    St. Petersburg residents were introduced to Tajik literature, dance and visual arts within Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in Russia

    On 08 October Tajik State Dance Ensemble ‘Lola’, Dance Ensemble ‘Parastu’ of the Tajik State Philharmonic Society named after A. Juraev and soloists of Tajik State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Sadriddin Ayni performed in a concert at Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre.

    Chairman of St. Petersburg Culture Committee Konstantin Sukhenko delivered a welcoming address on behalf of the Government of St. Petersburg.  

    In addition, the program of the Event included a photo exhibit and exhibition of works by contemporary artists of Tajikistan, an exhibition of books in Tajik, Russian and English and a presentation of works by a number of Tajik authors in Russian.   

    Reference: Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in Russia began on 07 October in Moscow on the New Stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

    The Republic of Tajikistan delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Mashrab Ibodullo Rahmon.

    The festivities were attended by members of the executive branch of the Government of St. Petersburg, representatives of Tajik diaspora living in St. Petersburg and the city’s residents and visitors.
