The St. Petersburg delegation was headed by Chairman of the Committee for Entrepreneurship and Consumer Market Development E.I.Kachaev, Chairman of the St. Petersburg party in the Commission between the Government of St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Cooperation in Economic and Humanitarian Spheres.
On 27 September E.I. Kachaev delivered a report at the round table discussion devoted to cooperation in small and medium business in Russia and Azerbaijan. He noted that St. Petersburg trade networks are actively cooperating with Azerbaijan and the project ‘St. Petersburg as the Center of High Fashion and Light Industry’ is being implemented. The round table was also attended by Minister for Economic Development of Russia Maksim Oreshkin, Head of the Republic of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev and Governor of Novgorod Region Andrey Nikitin.
At the round table agreements have been reached to hold a separate business forum on cooperation in small and medium business between the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijan Republic. During the Forum, E.I. Kachaev had meetings with the Chairman of the Azerbaijan party in the Commission between the Government St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Cooperation in Economic and Humanitarian Spheres and Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Republic S.A. Mammadov. In the course of conversation, the sides agreed to conduct the next Commission meeting via videoconference in November 2018.
On 28 September the St. Petersburg delegation met Minister-Counselor from the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Oleg Murashev. Cooperation of St. Petersburg with Azerbaijan Republic and organization of the upcoming culture and business mission of St. Petersburg to Baku in 2019 were discussed.
