    On 20-21 October 2018 St. Petersburg delegation led by Vice Governor Anna Mityanina participated in celebrations devoted to the 2800-th anniversary of Yerevan (Republic of Armenia)

    On 20 October during the visit by St. Petersburg delegation to the Armenian capital, a meeting was held between A.V. Mityanina and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia S.P. Kopyrkin. The Ambassador thanked the Government of St. Petersburg for the active cooperation with its partner city Yerevan. The sides discussed prospects of cooperation between the cities including culture, education and healthcare.     

    As part of her visit, Anna Mityanina visited Yerevan Hospital No. 1 where she met with Armen Muradyan, Rector of Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi.  

    A.V. Mityanina also examined outpatient department for rehabilitation of military service veterans. Upon completion of the negotiations, Anna Mityanina invited her Yerevan colleagues to come to St. Petersburg in the near future to visit the advanced healthcare facilities.    

    On 21 October, the second day of her visit to Yerevan, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg A.V. Mityanina had a meeting with the newly elected Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan, she conveyed him congratulations on his election on behalf of Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and also invited the Head of the Armenian capital to visit St. Petersburg in 2019 and to hold Days of Yerevan in St. Petersburg.

    The St. Petersburg delegation also attended Tsitsenakaberd memorial complex and laid flowers to commemorate Armenian genocide victims of 1915.
