A friendly match of cricket series "The Ashes", the cricket club "Crusaders "(Melbourne, Australia) versus a team picked in St.Petersburg (on behalf of England), was in the Mikhailovsky Garden at State Russian Museum on June 16, 2009.
The visit of Australian team is devoted to the 20th anniversary of twinning between St.Petersburg and Melbourne.
The match was sponsored by British Consulate General in St.Petersburg, the Honorary Consulate of Australia in St.Petersburg, State Russian Museum, St.Petersburg Administration and City Council of Melbourne.
