The visit program in Busan for the delegation representing the transport sector provided: visiting of the transport and command center Busan Transportation Information Center; "Samsung" bus company (public transport operating on natural gas); "SAMWON FA" Company (carried out the installation of transport and information services system of Pusan) the state road corporations in Busan, including introductory ride on LRT (Light Rail Transport), as well as the negotiations with the Head of the Public Transport Department of Busan City Administration on transport and transport infrastructure issues.
In Seoul, the delegation visited Seoul Topis transport and command center, T-money Mpass - the company of transport maps service, Hyundai Rotem company, the delegation got acquainted with the implementation of Maglev project and Incheon AREX International Airport railway, and discussed professional matters with the expert community - professors of the Department of optimization of traffic and transport engineering at Seoul National University.
At Sejong, the delegation met with representatives of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea. The main topics of the meeting were:
- the transport system of the Republic of Korea and its development (the main reforms and achievements, the use of gas-engine fuel),
-the use of IT-technologies to increase the efficiency of the transport system,
- experience of the Republic of Korea in solving transport problems, taking into account the interests and needs of different groups of the population, and overcoming the disagreement (resistance) of the population when carrying out the reforms (changing routes, providing the necessary funding, etc.)
-effective ways to develop the transport infrastructure.
The members of St. Petersburg delegation, representing the environmental protection activities and hazardous waste management, met in Seoul with the management team of "Korea Environment Technology" company and visited the plant for hazardous waste recycling, located in Jeonju. Also there were negotiations with the leadership of Global Green Growth Institute and the meeting for the exchange of expert opinions with the professors of the Department of Environmental Engineering of Seoul National University.
In Sejong the delegation met with representatives of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea.
In Incheon, the delegation visited "St. Petersburg" square and laid flowers at the memorial stone of the "Varyag" cruiser.
