0n 20 January, a meeting of the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg S.N. Movchan with the Consul General of Switzerland in St. Petersburg Mr. M. Fayette took place in Smolny. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Urban Land Improvement of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Nature Use, Environmental Protection and Ecological Safety.

During the meeting they discussed the possibility to organize a visit of a delegation of experts from St. Petersburg to Bern and Zürich in order to study the Swiss experience in recycling and processing of household and industrial waste, as well as the prospects for the establishment of business contacts between the industrial enterprises.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue working on the mentioned topics.
