    A Delegation from ATU Gagauzia (Republic of Moldova) Visited St. Petersburg on September 23-25

    The visit included the First Session of the working group on the implementation of the Program of cultural, trade and economic, research and engineering cooperation between St. Petersburg and ATU Gagauzia.

    On September 23 a meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with the Governor of ATU Gagauzia Irina Vlah took place in Smolny at 11.45; the parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation.

    The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations Evgeny Grigoriev, the Chairman of the Healthcare Committee Valery Kolabutin, the Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher Education Andrey Maksimov, and the First Vice Chairman of the Committee for Entrepreneurship and Consumer Market Development.

    The promising areas for further cooperation were outlined at the meeting: interaction on the area of healthcare, education, tourism, including medical tourism, economy, including deliveries of agricultural products to St. Petersburg.

    Georgy Poltavchenko invited the agricultural producers from Gagauzia to participate in purchase sessions conducted in our city.

    The delegation’s program also included attending the Eurasian Women’s Forum.
