    A series of lectures on alternative methods of teaching natural sciences by Mr. Soterius Voskarides, the Professor of Cyprus Technological University.

    Within the framework of cooperation between St. Petersburg and Limassol (the Republic of Cyprus), from 4 to 8 November 2013 at the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education for the educational community of the city, the series of lectures on alternative methods of teaching natural sciences by Mr. Soterius Voskarides, the  Professor of Cyprus Technological University, was organized.

    Within the framework of cooperation between St. Petersburg and Limassol (the Republic of Cyprus), from 4 to 8 November 2013 at the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education for the educational community of the city, the series of lectures on alternative methods of teaching natural sciences by Mr. Soterius Voskarides, the  Professor of Cyprus Technological University, was organized.

    A distinctive feature of the method of Mr. S.Voskarides is the organization of educational process with the use of the author's cartoons. Professor Voskarides is the President of the Union of Cyprus Cartoonists.

    The seminars were organized during the week for various categories of teachers of educational institutions of the city – for the professionals with great experience, young professionals and students of a teachers’ training college. The presentation of the method was also held in “Zerkalny” Country Center for Children and Youth Creativity on November 4.

    Holding seminars was one of the results of the business mission of St. Petersburg in Limassol, held in early October this year and the continuation of the project "Ideas of the universities – into the practice of cities". The program of seminars was organized by the Committee for Education of St. Petersburg, with the assistance of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.
