    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to the Russian Federation, Mr. Eoin O'Leary visited St.Petersburg on 1-4 December 2013

    During the visit the Ambassador of Ireland to Russia met with the Member of St. Petersburg Government, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Alexander Prokhorenko.

    During the visit the Ambassador of Ireland to Russia met with the Member of St. Petersburg Government, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Alexander Prokhorenko. The parties discussed the issues related to strengthening of bilateral business cooperation and further projects in the humanitarian sphere.

    Mr. O’Leary also met with the Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics Igor Maksimtsev with the management of Philological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, representatives of Irish Culture Center and saw the sculpture dedicated to the Irish poet T. Moore.  The Ambassador of Ireland also visited the Anna Akhmatova Museum at the Fountain House and the Nabokov Museum of St. Petersburg State University.
