At the meeting an opportunity of arranging an international forum “A Woman As a Creative Person of the Third Millennium” in our city from June 24 till June 28, 2013.
On February 1, 2013, at Smolny, talks between St. Petersburg Vice Governor O. A. Kazanskaya and several representatives of the board of “Czech-Moravian Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Managers” and Consul General of the Czech Republic Karel Haranza took place.

From 2000 till 2012 there were eight conferences in seven cities (in Prague, Brno, Bratislava, New York, Nairobi and Venice) on three continents, where 1000 people took part. At the conference, outstanding enterprisers and women – entrepreneurs, diplomats, politicians, scientists, economists and other disciplines experts, artists and non-governmental associations representatives – addressed the meeting. The main conference organizer is Moravian Association of Women Entrepreneurs (CMAP), founded in Brno. It is a voluntary organization, which have been uniting women – enterprisers and managers – since 1995. At first, it was named Moravian Association of Women Entrepreneurs as its regional clubs of women entrepreneurs were gradually forming in Moravia: in Brno, Zlin, Olomouc and in Bruntál. Its name was changed in 2012, after the association had extended to Ostrava, Nový Jičín and to other regions of the Czech Republic as well, when new regional clubs in Prague and Svitavi were formed.
The topic of the conference is also chosen depending on the venue and the current economic and social situation. In developing countries, the conference tries to bring up issues that can help to understand provisions for running business in these countries and to find out trust-based business opportunities.
The only topic, that is being repeated at every conference, is “Career, Family and Personal Harmony”. Under this topic, successful women using their own experience report, how they manage to combine different roles and life situations – work, career, family and personal growth. This part is one of the brightest parts of the conference, it is followed by an additional programme and a short acquaintance with local business environment and excursions to the most interesting cultural landmarks of the venue. Thus, the conference gives an opportunity to discuss professional and social issues both in a formal and an informal way.
Conference`s projects: One of the first of them was a project called “A Woman and the Internet”, its aim was to teach women to use the possibilities of the Internet a easily and naturally as to use an iron and a washing machine.
A very well-known project was a project of mentoring, when in cooperation with the Reflex magazine experienced enterprisers helped women to launch their own business. An important place belongs to the project of creating and running the Centers of assistance and support for women`s enterprises in Brno and Zlin, where in collaboration with the local Chambers of Commerce and economic organizations startupers got free professional services aiming to help women to launch an effective business and to give them some useful information during the first three years of their commercial activity, which are considered to be the most difficult for a start-up project. This project is funded by the EU and the state budget of the Czech Republic and up to now functions in Zlin.
