    On November 28, 2012, the Meeting of joint commission on cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, cultural and humanitarian areas between St. Petersburg and the Slovak Republic was held in Smolny

    During the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a program of bilateral cooperation in key areas of interaction between St. Petersburg and the Slovak Republic for 2013-2015. 

    On November 28, 2012, the Meeting of joint commission on cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, cultural and humanitarian areas between St. Petersburg and the Slovak Republic was held in Smolny.

    The chairmen of the Meeting were: Pavol Pavlis, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, A. Prokhorenko, Chairman of the Russian part of the Working Group – a member the Government of St. Petersburg, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg. In his opening remarks, A. Prokhorenko noted: "Since 2005, the last time we met, a lot of topics that require discussion have arisen. Today, we have an opportunity not only to resume such form of collaboration as a joint commission, but also to give a new impetus to our bilateral ties".

    During the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a program of bilateral cooperation in key areas of interaction between St. Petersburg and the Slovak Republic for 2013-2015. At the end of the meeting, the Protocol of the Joint Commission was signed.
