    On November 30, 2012, the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation Jelica Kurjak

    The meeting was held on the occasion of the completion of Ms Jelica Kurjak’s diplomatic mission in Russia. Summing up the results of her work in Russia, J. Kurjak placed emphasis on the improvement of Russian-Serbian relations, including the implementation of a strategic project "South Stream".

    An increased number of Serbian goods on the markets of Moscow and St. Petersburg is a clear sign of the reinforcement of trade and economic ties between the two countries. J. Kurjak stressed G. Poltavchenko’s major contribution to the development of cooperation between Russia and Serbia. Governor G. Poltavchenko wished Ms. J.  Kurjak success in her future work and voiced his hope for the continuation of the constructive dialogue between fraternal peoples of Russia and Serbia.
