On August 25, a Russian-German summer festival, devoted to the Year of Russia in Germany and the Year of Germany in Russia, took place at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Bonn (Germany).
St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and the Committee for Culture presented at the festival a performance of young Petersburg virtuosos team “Grad-Quartet” – the winners of Russian and international competitions. The program was also attended by the soloists of Mariinsky Theatre: Gelena Gaskarova, Irina Shishkova, Andrey Serov. They performed Russian and foreign classics, contemporary music, Russian folk songs.
The project was implemented within the framework of the program of St.Petersburg Government to implement the state policy of Russian Federation concerning the compatriots abroad (program “Compatriots”).
The celebration was attended by about a thousand guests. Among them, there were the activists of Russian-German friendship societies and organizations of compatriots from 42 cities of the consular district, including Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Essen, Duisburg, and Münster. as well as the leaders of the German business organizations, prominent public and political figures.
