    An international conference on Russian-American cooperation

    On April 10, 2012, an international conference “People’s Diplomacy as an Important Factor in the Development of Russian-American Cooperation” was held at the “House of Friendship”.

    On April 10, 2012, an international conference “People’s Diplomacy as an Important Factor in the Development of Russian-American Cooperation” was held at the “House of Friendship”.

    The conference brought together the historians, political scientists, experts in international law, representatives of social organizations, cultural and educational institutions of St.Petersburg and the United States.

    The participants were greeted by Bruce I.Terner, U.S. Consul General in St.Petersburg.

    A special guest of the event was Arthur Mitchell, the founder and artistic director of Ballet Theater, Harlem, whose report was entitled “The Art of Dance as an Element of People’s Diplomacy and Social Struggle”.
