On December 12 through 14, 2011, a delegation of St.Petersburg visited Vienna (Austria) to participate in a workshop on management of Christmas fairs infrastructure .
The purpose of the trip was a detailed study of the experience of the Austrian partners in the organization, financing, implementation, and management of Christmas fairs infrastructure (based on city-level and private initiatives). At the workshop, the experience of the Administration of Vienna was presented, as well as of large private organizers.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of the administration of Vienna (and City of Baden) and the CEOs of city-wide and private exhibition companies, who reported about the specifics of the organization of Christmas fairs, held in Vienna for over 20 years.
During the visit, prospective directions of cooperation between Vienna and St.Petersburg in 2012 were also discussed with the representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Vienna.
