Our city has developed a nice tradition to celebrate the New Year with our friend – Julenissen, the Norwegian Santa Claus, who this year has come on holiday with his wife Nissemur right away from the Village of Savalen, where his residence is located.

In order to see in the honourable Norwegian guests, their Russian colleague Father Frost, who visited Julenissen in Savalen a day before, has arrived to St.Petersburg from Moscow.

The New Year celebration was organized by the Tourism Council of Norway in Russia, with the support of the Norwegian Consulate in St.Petersburg, Holiday Resort of Savalen, and the Norwegian Committee on Fish Exports.
