    St.Petersburg Delegation Visited Norway

    As part of the project “Power Industry Cooperation in Russian North-West”, implemented jointly with the Nordic Council of Ministers, during the period of October 23 through 29, 2011, a delegation of St.Petersburg visited Norway (Bergen, Oslo).

    As part of the project “Power Industry Cooperation in Russian North-West”, implemented jointly with the Nordic Council of Ministers, during the period of October 23 through 29, 2011, a delegation of St.Petersburg visited Norway (Bergen, Oslo).

    The purpose of the visit was the formation of a circle of mutual interests and exchange experience in the area of energy efficient housing (Green city), the use of renewable energy sources, examples of implementation of energy efficiency programs.

    The delegation got acquainted with the energy and climate plan of Bergen, Oslo area development plan, and incorporating the new technologies in housing construction, and visited the waste incineration plants and utility companies.

    The visit was arranged with the assistance of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Norway and the Information and Business Center of St.Petersburg in Norway (Oslo).
