Steven Chu, USA Secretary of Energy, visited St.Petersburg during his visit to Russia within the confines of Russo-American Energy Working Group.
On June 7, 2011, a meeting of Steven Chu and M.E. Oseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg and Head of St.Petersburg Governor’s Administration took place at Smolny. The meeting was also attended by O.B. Trishkin, Chairman of the Committee for Energy and Engineering of St.Petersburg.
The meeting touched on St.Petersburg Government’s policy in the area of energy efficiency. USA Secretary of Energy expressed his interest in cooperation with St.Petersburg to exchange experience in this area.
