    Delegation of Lithuania Visited St.Petersburg

    On December 7 through 9, 2010, a delegation from the Republic of Lithuania, headed by the G. Miskinis, Chancellor of the Ministry of Economy, sojourned in St.Petersburg for a business visit. The delegation included the representatives of state and municipal governments, as well as activists of the Alumni Association of St.Petersburg Universities – Lithuanian citizens, “Club of St.Petersburg”.

    On December 7 through 9, 2010, a delegation from the Republic of Lithuania, headed by the G. Miskinis, Chancellor of the Ministry of Economy, sojourned in St.Petersburg for a business visit. The delegation included the representatives of state and municipal governments, as well as activists of the Alumni Association of St.Petersburg Universities – Lithuanian citizens, “Club of St.Petersburg”.

    The purpose of the trip was the development of business and cultural ties between St.Petersburg and the Republic of Lithuania.

    During the visit, the delegation met with A.Yu. Manilova,Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, and the sides exchanged their views on cooperation between St.Petersburg and Lithuania.

    On December 8, a seminar on cooperation in tourism was held, which was attended by over 60 representatives of organizations from Lithuania and St.Petersburg. The seminar included presentations of regions, as well as opportunities for rural tourism of Lithuania, individual meetings, and negotiations on cooperation.

    The delegation visited St.Petersburg Lithuanian Cultural Center and got acquainted with the activities of the Theatre Festival “Baltic House”.
