On December 1 through 3, 2010, a delegation of St.Petersburg visited Town Jyväskylä (Finland).
The visit was timed for the Open Door Day of Information and Busines Center of St.Petersburg in Jyväskylä, during which a Russo-Finnish seminar on prospects for cooperation between St.Petersburg and Region Jyväskylä was held.
The speakers included the representatives of the Committee for External Relations and the Committee for Information and Communications, the representatives of construction, legal, and environmental organizations, as well as the representatives of the administration of Region Jyväskylä and Finnish companies operating in the areas of innovation, environment protection, metalworking, and construction.
Also, the delegation members held talks with Mr M. Andersson, Mayor of Jyväskylä, and discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the innovation area.
