On November 17 through 19, 2010, Helma Orosz, Lord Mayor of Dresden, visited our city by the invitation of St.Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko.
Mrs Orosz participated in the International Summit of Women-Leaders of the Economy and Politics, met with Governor Valentina Matvienko for talks, and visited the German grammar school “Peterschule”.
During a meeting with St.Petersburg Governor, discussed were the development of cooperation between St.Petersburg and Dresden and activities within the 50-year anniversary of partnership between the two cities, which is celebrated in 2011.
In her speech at the conference, Helma Orosz presented the experience of Dresden authorities concerning the support of young families and women’s rights in labour relations.
